Her practice focuses on defending claims involving general liability, premises liability, personal injury, transportation liability, and public entity matters. Nia manages matters through all phases of litigation, including pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motion practice, alternative dispute resolution, trial preparation, and appeals.

Before joining Wilson Elser, Nia represented public entities and corporate clients in complex litigation matters throughout California. She has experience developing litigation strategy, evaluating liability and damages exposure, conducting fact and expert discovery, and obtaining favorable resolutions through dispositive motions, settlement negotiations, and alternative dispute resolution.

Areas of Focus

General Liability
Nia defends clients in a variety of general liability matters, including claims involving bodily injury, property damage, and negligence. She regularly handles all aspects of litigation, from initial case evaluation and discovery through mediation, dispositive motions, and trial preparation.

Premises Liability
Nia represents property owners, businesses, and public entities in premises liability actions arising from alleged dangerous property conditions. She has experience investigating liability issues, evaluating notice defenses, analyzing maintenance and inspection records, and developing strategies to minimize exposure.

Personal Injury Defense
Nia defends clients against claims involving alleged catastrophic and noncatastrophic injuries. She routinely reviews and analyzes medical records, coordinates expert discovery, conducts depositions of treating physicians and experts, and evaluates damages claims to develop effective defense strategies.

Transportation Liability
Nia represents clients in motor vehicle and transportation-related litigation, including claims involving commercial vehicles and public transportation entities. She assists with accident investigation, witness development, liability analysis, and defense strategy throughout the litigation process.
