Noelle Berg serves as General Counsel at Wilson Elser and participates in the firm’s senior leadership through her position on the Executive Committee. Noelle brings more than three decades of legal experience at the intersection of litigation, risk management, ethics, strategic thinking, and firm governance to one of the nation’s preeminent law firms. She is a trusted adviser, a steward of the firm’s ethical standards, and a valued mentor to attorneys across all levels. Noelle’s approach is thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in deep institutional knowledge and practical experience.

In her role as General Counsel, Noelle oversees Wilson Elser’s legal and regulatory compliance matters; provides guidance on complex conflict issues, internal investigations, and professional responsibility; and plays a key role in developing and implementing firmwide policies. Known for her acute legal insight and sound judgment, she advises firm leadership on matters affecting long-term strategic planning as well as day-to-day operations. Noelle also provides advice on professional liability and presents regularly on risk management to the firm’s clients and within the firm.

Prior to her current position, Noelle served as Deputy General Counsel and Conflicts of Interest Counsel at Wilson Elser. Earlier in her career, she practiced in the areas of Professional Liability defense, Fidelity Liability defense, Life, Health Disability & ERISA, and insurance coverage litigation. Noelle also served as an Assistant State’s Attorney for Cook County, Illinois, litigating a variety of civil matters, including §1983 cases, complex tort and general casualty, medical malpractice, and commercial litigation, and negotiating all contracts on behalf of the County of Cook
