Philip Rizzo handles all aspects of general insurance defense matters from pre-trial pleadings to discovery to trial. He represents insurance carriers and insured businesses and individuals sued in tort litigation, including premises liability, general liability, vehicle accident liability and products liability. Philip practices throughout Indiana and Illinois state courts as well as in the northern and southern district courts in Indiana. 

Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Philip practiced at an insurance defense firm in Indianapolis, and previously was a Deputy Attorney General at the Indiana Office of Attorney General, where he led government investigations and represented the state in the prosecution of multistate antitrust lawsuits as well as in enforcement actions in Indiana state courts for violations of the Deceptive Consumer Sales Act, the Nonprofit Corporations Act, and other consumer protection laws and regulations. Philip also served as a Deputy Prosecutor at the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office in Indianapolis, where he conducted more than a dozen jury trials.
