Tiffany Gruenberg (Associate-Los Angeles) was published in a recent edition of CHART (Coverholders & Risk Takers Exchange) on the subject of “Self-Driving Cars Will Likely Increase Product Liability Litigation.” Tiffany presents a thorough look at the legal issues surrounding the advent of these new vehicles. “If companies are unable to adequately manage expectations and disclose the potential risks and limitations,” she says, “… there is a potential for a flood of litigations in our courthouses.” She also points out the challenges, such as the requirement for “some level of expertise and knowledge in the areas of programming, statistics, algorithms and analytics.”
