Maryan Alexander (Partner-Baltimore) authored “Third-Party Shield Withstands Attack: An Injured Party’s Contractual Subrogation Waiver Shields a Third Party from Joint Tortfeasor Contribution,” which appeared in the Fall 2020 issue of Construction Claims Magazine. In the article, Maryan discusses a decision from the Maryland Court of Appeals that states, as a matter of first impression, that a contractual waiver of subrogation bars a third party’s contribution claim.
