Brett Holsombeck practices in a wide variety of civil litigation matters, specializing in defending clients against claims of personal injury, catastrophic injury and wrongful death across various practice areas. Brett has significant experience litigating commercial transportation, product liability and premises liability cases in state and federal courts throughout Alabama. Brett is routinely retained by companies and casualty insurance carriers to oversee high-exposure cases, and he is part of the Wilson Elser team that serves as national and regional counsel for several international clients. 

In addition, Brett regularly represents businesses and insurance carriers in commercial matters. For example, he has successfully defended insurance companies in direct actions involving claims of breach of contract, outrage and “bad faith”; construction entities in bet-the-company litigation; and businesses in cases involving allegations of fraud, shareholder oppression and antitrust violations. Brett also has extensive experience litigating consumer and commercial class actions, mass actions and multidistrict litigation.

Brett is an active member of the Birmingham Bar Association, Alabama State Bar and American Bar Association. He currently serves as President of the Alabama State Bar Young Lawyers Section and is a member of the American Bar Association House of Delegates.
