Sarah Adam practices in the area of commercial litigation, providing accountants with innovative and timely strategic counsel to help them make better-informed decisions, resolve complex legal challenges and achieve specific business goals.
Prior to joining Wilson Elser in 2024, Sarah spent five years with the New York office of a large national law firm, primarily defending legal malpractice claims as well as negligence, fraud and contract-based claims asserted against a variety of businesses and professionals in New York federal and state courts. Sarah also served as local counsel on matters pending in New York federal bankruptcy courts.
Earlier in her career Sarah worked at a boutique criminal defense and complex civil litigation firm in New York City, supporting the civil litigation and white-collar crime practices. Her practice entailed representing business owners in a variety of high-stakes federal lawsuits ranging from alleged trademark infringement in connection with the importation of international blood glucose test strips, to suits seeking defamation and tortious interference damages against former business partners. Sarah also has handled civil forfeiture proceedings, construction claims, and various tort and contract suits in New York and New Jersey state courts.
