Sarah Trepel is an experienced litigator who represents businesses and individuals in all aspects of civil litigation. Her practice focuses on the defense of claims related to complex commercial liability, general liability, premises liability, personal injury, transportation liability, and labor law and construction matters. She is skilled in handling all phases of litigation, including pleadings, case investigation and development, discovery production, discovery review and analysis, depositions, expert witness discovery, motion practice, oral argument, appeals, settlement, negotiations, mediations, court appearances and trial.

Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Sarah worked at a prestigious defense law firm in Manhattan where she represented clients in New York State Supreme Courts in the areas of complex commercial liability, general liability defense, personal injury defense, labor law and construction defense, Child Victims Act proceedings and Article 81 Guardianship proceedings. In addition, Sarah practiced in New York State Surrogate’s Courts handling administration and probate of estates, trust and estate litigation, compromise proceedings and guardianship proceedings. Sarah also worked at a boutique criminal defense law firm, where she represented clients in a wide range of state and federal criminal proceedings. 

During law school, Sarah was actively involved in the Tulane Criminal Litigation Clinic, where she represented indigent clients in post-conviction and habeas proceedings. She participated in a study abroad program in International Criminal Law and Human Rights at the University of Amsterdam, Faculty of Law, The Netherlands. Upon graduation, Sarah received a certificate of recognition for outstanding pro bono service.
