Sarah Mathews represents established businesses and individuals in all aspects of civil litigation. Her practice focuses on the defense of claims related to general liability, automobile liability, premises liability, and personal injury, as well as litigation involving business disputes and real estate. She is well-versed in representing real estate professionals before regulatory bodies and in state courts. Sarah has achieved certification in Wilson Elser’s rigorous Mock Trial Invitational, through which our most successful trial lawyers impart their knowledge to those destined to join their ranks.
Sarah leverages her diverse experience to tackle complex legal challenges. She has handled cases for municipal clients in a wide range of matters, including actions brought under the Tennessee Governmental Tort Liability Act (GTLA), employment disputes, litigation before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and Tennessee Human Rights Commission, and claims related to employment discrimination, sexual harassment, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) violations, and retaliation.
Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Sarah worked for a boutique Nashville firm. Previously, she was an Assistant City Attorney in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
