Spencer Hoisington represents insurers, businesses, and individuals in nearly all aspects of civil litigation. His practice focuses on the defense of general liability, premises liability, and aviation claims, as well as trucking accidents involving national transportation companies.

Spencer also defends insurers in coverage disputes involving a broad range of policies, including commercial general liability, homeowners, dwelling, directors and officers (D&O), employment practices (EPL), and errors and omissions (E&O). Spencer’s past experience includes handling employment litigation for business clients, including discrimination claims brought under Title VII, the ADA, the ADEA, and USERRA, as well as claims of sexual harassment and retaliation. Spencer uses his knowledge and experience to provide his clients with pragmatic and proactive approaches to resolving disputes. 

Before joining Wilson Elser, Spencer was claims counsel at a premier global insurance company. He also gained valuable experience as a litigator at a personal injury practice in Charlotte, North Carolina. Spencer uses the knowledge and experience he gained in these roles to provide his clients with pragmatic and proactive approaches to resolving disputes.
