He has also defended clients in professional liability and general liability suits. Additionally, Tae has handled numerous appeals before state and federal appellate courts.

Areas of Focus

Insurance-Reinsurance Coverage / Bad Faith
Tae provides skilled representation to domestic and foreign insurers in the areas of primary and excess liability on virtually all types of coverage disputes. His practice in California and throughout the United States has a special emphasis on professional liability, directors and officers liability, employment practices liability, technology and media liability, and construction defects liability matters.

Tae represents insurers in coverage and bad faith litigation in state and federal courts, including declaratory judgment, rescission and interpleader actions and in arbitration. Tae has successfully negotiated settlements in hundreds of mediations and settlement conferences as coverage and/or monitoring counsel.

Directors & Officers Liability
Tae represents D&O insurers as coverage and monitoring counsel in complex shareholder class actions against public companies and their directors and officers asserting violations of securities laws and shareholder derivative suits alleging breach of fiduciary duties and mismanagement.

Professional Liability
Tae has significant experience representing insurance agents and brokers, real estate brokers and agents, accountants and attorneys in defense of professional negligence claims. He is also engaged as coverage and monitoring counsel on behalf of insurers with respect to professional errors and omissions matters involving financial brokers/dealers, investment advisers, insurance agents/brokers, real estate appraisers and brokers, media and technology companies, mortgage brokers, title and escrow companies, and property managers.

General Liability
Tae has experience defending general liability claims, including premises liability involving commercial and retail cases. He is also engaged as coverage and monitoring counsel on behalf of insurers with respect to general liability claims involving property managers, hospitality and residential apartment holdings, construction, automobile and transportation liability cases.
