November 2024
Trevor Wong represents businesses and individuals in the defense of claims related to labor and employment matters. Trevor is a zealous advocate for his clients and experienced in all aspects of case management, from initial assignment through trial. He has achieved certification in Wilson Elser’s rigorous Mock Trial Invitational, through which our most successful trial lawyers impart their knowledge to those destined to join their ranks.
Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Trevor worked at a litigation firm defending physicians and health care facilities in medical malpractice and California Medical Board matters. Trevor also has experience representing injured plaintiffs in which he developed a unique insight into how opposing parties evaluate cases, which he now uses to strategically guide his client to successful results.
During law school, Trevor participated in an employment rights clinic where he investigated, mediated and gave ruling recommendations on employee wage disputes filed with the Office of the California Labor Commissioner.
Dean Rocco (Partner-Los Angeles, CA), Carlos MacManus (Of Counsel-Los Angeles, CA) and Trevor Wong (Associate-Los Angeles, CA) defended a national property management company against claims it breached an agreement to compensate an agent for referring properties for management. The agent sued, claiming the company was required to continue managing properties, accepting referrals and paying her fees, and she sought damages based on alleged unpaid fees under the agreement. The team submitted a motion that parsed a complicated record of facts and asserted nuanced contract law arguments, and convinced the trier of fact the company was not precluded by contract from terminating existing property management agreements nor required to accept new referrals from the plaintiff.
