William Cortellessa specializes in the collection of a wide variety of consumer and commercial debts and the enforcement of money judgments. 

Prior to joining the firm, Bill was assistant general counsel at provider of accounts receivable management services to health care providers throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, before which he was as a solo legal practitioner handling a variety of commercial debt collection, consumer law, personal injury and general civil litigation, in addition to reviewing and negotiating contracts. Bill also has experience managing litigation from inception to trial, including post-judgment proceedings and appeals. He also has handled a variety of commercial litigation, commercial collection, construction, landlord & tenant, fraudulent conveyance, commercial foreclosure, mechanic's liens and piercing the corporate veil cases in state and federal court. 

While in law school, Bill was a research assistant for Professor Ronald Jensen and served as a summer intern to the Honorable Louis C. Pallela, New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Term, Second Department. He also interned at the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office.
