David Eisen is a member of Wilson Elser’s Executive Committee and has management responsibility for all of the firm’s western region offices, including serving as regional managing partner of the Seattle office. He has nearly 35 years of experience litigating complex matters in state and federal courts and in arbitrations. David focuses his practice on professional liability matters. Over the course of his career, David has represented law firms and individual lawyers in malpractice and dissolution actions. He also has defended an international accounting firm in malpractice and a variety of other matters. David achieved the successful resolution of an accounting dispute in New York federal court brought by celebrity Rihanna against her former business manager.

In addition, David represents corporate clients in employment disputes and complex commercial matters, including consumer class actions. He provides exceptional levels of efficiency and effectiveness in resolving litigation for his clients and assisting with their day-to-day legal issues. David evaluates and analyzes cases and litigation strategy with an eye toward early and successful resolution, and prides himself in being readily available and uncommonly responsive.

Currently, David serves as one of the firm's three deputy general counsel. He is a state and federal court mediator, frequently serves as a judge pro tem in California state court, and is a Special Trial Counsel for the California State Bar. He joined Wilson Elser after more than 15 years as a partner in the Los Angeles office of Arnold & Porter, LLP.

Commercial Litigation
Another focus of David's practice is the representation of clients in complex business disputes, including unfair competition, unfair business practices, trade secret and non-compete actions. David has handled numerous consumer class actions, defending clients in FACTA, TCPA and related matters. He also has particular experience in business and intellectual property litigation for clients in the sports and entertainment industries.

Employment & Labor
David counsels and defends corporate clients in a variety of employment matters, including wrongful termination, constructive termination, civil rights claims, and discrimination and harassment based on gender, race and sexual orientation.

Professional Liability
David has represented and counseled hundreds of law firms and lawyers in professional liability and related matters, including actions involving malpractice claims, fee disputes, dissolution, expulsion, withdrawal, mergers and fiduciary obligations. As Special Trial counsel to the California State Bar, David regularly is appointed to investigate ethical complaints against lawyers when conflicts preclude the Bar from investigating.
