During the week of October 7–11, 2024, the firm hosted its 31st WEMED University program. We welcomed seventeen students from seven companies and four countries in Asia and Europe.

Launched in 1992, our WEMED University program boasts more than 1,000 graduates from some 20 countries. This year’s topics included advanced civil procedure, claims handling best practices, social inflation, shock verdicts, trials, appeals, punitive damages, class actions, MDL, product liability, Director’s & Officers liability, and Maritime law. Our program included visits to the state and federal courts to view trials.

We extend our thanks to our WEMED University organizers Phil Quaranta, Tom DeMicco, Jon Meer, Eric Cheng, Justin Shireman and Jin Qian.  We also thank our professors Ray Perez, Gregg Tatarka, Patrick Lawless, Otis Felder, Mike Harowski, Matt Vaccaro, Suma Thomas, Larry Wang and Mal Helgadottir. Thanks as well to our special guest, Senior Counsel Harry Brett, and our support staff, Persius Mensah and Genna Colonnato.
