During the week of November 17–21, 2025, the firm hosted its 32nd WEMED University program. We welcomed 12 students from seven companies and three countries in Asia and Europe.

Launched in 1992, our WEMED University program boasts more than 1,000 graduates from some 20 countries. This year’s topics included civil procedure trends, jurisdiction, data preservation and e-Discovery, punitive damages, litigation funding, appeals, directors & officers liability, product liability, tenders of defense, social inflation and nuclear verdicts, cyber liability, use of artificial intelligence for defense of cases, and trial procedure and reptile tactics. Our program included visits to the state courts to view jury selection and trials.

We extend our thanks to our WEMED University organizers: Phil Quaranta, Jon Meer, and Justin Shireman. We also thank our professors: Ray Perez, Gregg Tatarka, Patrick Lawless, Richard Boone, Eric Cheng, Matt Vaccaro, Scott Stopnik, Larry Wang, Judy Selmeci, and Nathan Horst. Thanks as well to our special guest, Senior Counsel Harry Brett, and our legal support staff: Genna Colonnato, Matthew Phillips, and Emily Weiss.
