Wilson Elser Participating in Mansfield 6.0 Certification Process
Wilson Elser has announced its participation in the Mansfield Rule 6.0 certification process. The goal of Mansfield is to increase diversity in law firm leadership. The one-year certification process, administered by Diversity Lab, launched on July 15, 2022. This will be Wilson Elser’s second round of the annual Mansfield Certification process.
Wilson Elser joins 180 large law firms, including 21 firms new to this certification process.
Most fundamentally, the Mansfield Rule requires consideration of at least 30 percent underrepresented individuals when promoting to leadership roles or to equity partnership. The latest version of the Mansfield certification has the most rigorous set of criteria yet. Firms seeking the “Certification Plus” category must demonstrate that they have achieved – not just considered – diversity milestones in leadership and make their firm’s advancement and compensation processes transparent to their workforce.
