Shaina has extensive experience representing Fortune 500 corporations, hospitals, long-term care facilities and nurses, as well as other health care providers across the state of Florida in matters involving professional liability, medical malpractice, risk management, general liability, premises liability, trucking accidents, auto accidents and negligent security. She has litigated civil matters for her clients in federal and state jurisdictions as well as state administrative actions involving professional licensure and discipline in Florida and federal courts. 

Prior to her defense practice, Shaina was a plaintiffs’ attorney representing individuals in auto accidents, medical malpractice and other personal injury claims. Shaina also has experience in bankruptcy and real estate litigation, having represented creditors in cases pending in Florida and federal courts.

In the premises liability area, Shaina has successfully litigation and disposed of injury cases on summary judgment brought against Fortune 500 corporate clients, restaurants, hotels, condominium associations and other retail establishments. 

Trucking & Transportation
Shaina has defended trucking companies and automobile claims in lawsuits ranging from catastrophic personal injury losses to wrongful death claims. Shaina also is a member of the 24/7 emergency response team for Wilson Elser clients, providing 24-hour, on-site client assistance in mobilizing experts, investigators and client control immediately after catastrophic events. 

Product Liability
In the product liability area, Shaina has successfully handled and obtained dismissals of catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases brought against manufacturers and distributors of medical devices, industrial machinery and various other products. 

Medical Malpractice
Shaina successfully defended medical malpractice actions against hospitals, hospital staff and physicians in multiple specialties including emergency medicine, maternal fetal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, neurology, neurologic surgery, cardiology, cardiac surgery, orthopedics, orthopedic surgery, anesthesiology, radiology, infectious diseases, family medicine and internal medicine.
