Maryan Alexander Partner




Maryan Alexander focuses her practice on complex commercial and civil litigation involving financial services, products liability, construction matters, accountants malpractice, toxic torts and other general casualty claims. She has defended at trial both local and foreign product manufacturers and distributors, property management companies, and claims arising under state and federal consumer protection laws.

Maryan was seconded for fifteen months to the legal department of a large financial institution during which time she handled regulatory, operational and transactional matters, including the restructuring and negotiation of marketing and servicing agreements with third parties and advising on third-party risk management matters involving the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Through this secondment, Maryan developed a unique understanding of the regulatory environment faced by financial institutions and insurance companies.

Before attending law school, Maryan pursued a career in online journalism/financial news and multimedia with Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactive. She is recognized for her written communications skills and precision in drafting motions and providing insightful periodic updates and analysis to clients.
