Wilson Elser’s London Market Practice, which traces its roots to the firm’s inception, has added insurance industry veteran Paul Sewell to its leadership ranks. Paul has been affiliated with the London Market in various capacities for more than 40 years, serving as Chief Technical Officer at Brit Insurance, Head of Claims at R&Q Managing Agency, and, most recently, Claims Manager at MS Amlin. He is widely respected by our attorneys both within and beyond the London Market.

Paul joins the firm as Manager, London Market, reporting to Robert Bird, who now serves as Director, London Market. Paul and Rob previously worked together at Brit Insurance and look forward to renewing their collaboration. Together, they will strengthen Wilson Elser’s ability to assist London-based insurers and their insureds with coverage, risk management, audits, program management, and the defense of claims and lawsuits – both individually and on a national basis. They will also serve as conduits to Wilson Elser’s vast resources as the nation’s preeminent defense litigation firm.
